| | To come out from something else… Recently I’ve been reading through Emerging Churches: creating Christian community in postmodern cultures, by Eddie Gibbs and Ryan K. Bolger (both are professors at Fuller Seminary.) I must admit they really captured an honest and accurate picture of Emerging/Emergent churches. Chapters include:
- Identifying with Jesus
- Transforming Secular Space
- Living as a Community
- Welcoming the Stranger
- Serving with Generosity
- Participating as Producers
- Creating as Created Beings
- Leading as a Body
- Merging Ancient and Contemporary Spiritualities
Along with two excellent appendix(s): (A) Leaders in Their Own Words were different leaders who align themselves with emergent give their thoughts, and (B) Research Methodology.
