  • 5th Day of Vacation: I love vacation, this is the first true vacation that I've had a in a long time, and it's been totally worth it. It's been great waking up early every morning putting on a pot of coffee and then sitting down with my bride to be, reading together and praying together. Afterwards we went to pickup some doughts from Krispy Creme! We got to see them make them, they were warm and melted in your mouth. Made Sondra sick, but I loved it.

When we got home we went and did the same old same old, swam, played volleyball, swam in the ocean. All kinds of good stuff.

Around 4PM we ate at a Japanese steakhouse. Our chef was funny. He teased Lee alot and the food was great.

Next we came back to the condo and worked out. Then Sondra made cookies and then we watched Monster's Inc. and I feel asleep. Almost forgot, I started pealing too.

  • 4th Day of Vacation:  Devotions (or whatever you want to call them) using our book marriage book, To Become One, has been such a blessing.  Kind of personal the stuff we are examining in our lives so I won't tell you just yet.  Let's just say we are starting to refocus our lives around becoming one with each other and one with G-d.  After that we went straight to the beach before many people got out there.  It was fun, Sondra kept freaking out about seeing and feeling things under the water and Joel and I just laughed at her.  Next we hung out at the lazy river where we bumped into Laura and Lee playing in the water park (pictures below).  Then we sat in the hot tub a while because Sondra's shoulder has been killing her and then up to the room to get ready to go to Broadway at the Beach.  Broadway at the Beach is sort of like an out door shopping mall/center.  There we had "Cold Stone" Ice cream, loved it.  Our server was quite goofy which made the experience rememberable.  We walked all around the place going into many shops, but didn't buy much.  We left there and headed back to the Condo for a bit and then to Sonic.  This was my first Sonic experience and I'm so jealous that we do not have any (or at least many) Sonic's in OH.  Good fast food and excellent blue coconut slushies.  After that we went back to the room watch part of Dodge Ball, not a big fan of the movie, but it has it's funny parts.  Then one more quick dip in the lazy river and the hot tub and finally back to the condo to sleep.  What a fun exciting day.  Here's some pictures from it.IMG_0648IMG_0649IMG_0661IMG_0664IMG_0666

  • 3rd Day of Vacation:  I spent most of the day belly aching about my sunburn.  My feet are burnt, on both sides.  The bottom from the sand being hot while playing v-ball and the tops from the sun.  Sondra spends alot of time putting aloe and sunblock on me.  Later on in the evening we went to "Chalupah" a mexican restraunt.  It was excellent.  Pretty much the same old stuff, read our book about marriage, played v-ball, and swam.  Nothing to unique.

  • 2nd Day of Vacation: Was as fun as the first, minus my sunburn. I had to leave my t-shirt on most of the day with several coats of aloe and sunblock. Sondra and I got up and read our marriage book and all of Amos. Not sure why I picked Amos, I felt like I was scolleded for several hours. But I still loved reading it. Then we swam, played v-ball, swam some more, watched the discovery health channel, floated in the lazy river, took a nap, went out to eat at the Fish Bone, took a walk on the beach and then to bed. The Fish Bone is an amazing restaruant, Sondra and I have mahu mahu rockefeller. MMMHHHMMM!

  • 1st Day of Vacation:  Incase you haven't keep up, I'm in Myrtle Beach on vacation with Sondra and her family.  Today we spent most of our time playing volleyball, swimming in the ocean and the pool.  All in all, a lovely and relaxing day.  Last night we watched "Lemony Snicket's - A Series of Unfortunate Events", I loved it!  Seriously.  There are so many insights in this film.  I'm amazed, this movie had it all.

In other news Chris (my best friend and best man in my wedding) called me today.  His wife Emily had to go to the hospital early because she was having contractions, they are expecting their second child in Act.  They were sent to Akron General Hospital, there they got the labor to stop.  Keep them in your prayers.  I called them a few hours ago and they're spirits are high.
